2009 had been a difficult year for many. ArtsBusXpress has seen a decline in contributions, as many non-profit organizations are struggling to provide critical services. School funding has been cut, and we are hearing from teachers who are taking money out of their own pockets to fund field trips and the transportation needed to get to their destinations.
We need your help now to ensure that San Diego’s school children continue the academic progress our program encourages. We are all concerned about the academic downturn, but everyone can help at some level. It will take a community working together to give our children every opportunity to succeed.

Patricia Smith wins Bank of America "Local Hero" Award
On October 28th, 2009, Bank of America honored Patricia (Patty) Smith, Founder and Board Member of ArtsBusXpress, with a "Local Hero" Award. Patty was selected out of over 100 nominees for being a champion for causes in her community and inspiring others to get involved.
