Thank you for taking time to visit our website and apply for an ABX grant to pay for your bus transportation expenses for your upcoming field trip.  ArtsBusXpress started in 2002 and is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit with the following mission to enrich students one field trip at a time, support teachers to empower students by providing an easy to use online application and with the help of passionate donors, fund your bus transportation expenses to an approved arts and science venue of your choice. 

Once you complete and submit your application, here’s what will happen:

  • The application is reviewed within 5 business days of submission.

  • Email notification is sent of additional information required, approval, or denial within 10 days of submission.

A Bus Grant Voucher will be sent to you confirming the approval amount and instructions for payment which will include:

  • Teacher forwards the voucher via email to the designated transportation provider, district accounting office or both, depending on each district’s internal process.
     

  • Transportation provider or district accounting office will send the transportation expense invoice to “billing@artsbusxpress.org.

Upon submission of the online field trip report to ABX indicating the field trip was taken along with a brief description of a successful trip, ABX will process the invoice for payment. This usually occurs within 30 days of the field trip date.

You can start your application anytime and you don’t have to have all the answers at one sitting. Just save it and come back to it when you do. Information needed will include:

  • District Name

  • School Name and phone number

  • Principal Name and email

  • Lead teacher name

  • Cell phone number and email along with all other teachers participating,

  • Destination

  • Planned date of trip

  • Number of students by class

  • Number of chaperones

  • Explanation of activities prior to and after the field trip and the benefits to the students

  • Name of bus provider to be used

  • Number of buses needed, and

  • Estimated cost

 

The application is designed to be easy to use with appropriate dropdown boxes for names of school districts, venue sites, and class grades.
