The Deering Banjo Factory’s mission is to champion the banjo and inspire freedom of creativity around the globe by supplying the best quality, American-made banjos available to players of all abilities. La Jolla Symphony & Chorus (LJS&C), a UCSD affiliate, performs 6 concert pairs per year in Mandeville Auditorium, as well as community concerts in other venues. It is an independent, 501(c)3 non-profit corporation comprised of 230 volunteer musicians from all walks of life: doctors, lawyers, teachers, students, and professional musicians – a diverse and talented group with a passion for making music together. LJS&C sponsors an annual Young Artists Competition, an annual commission of a new work for orchestra and/or chorus, and provides music education to San Diego K-12 schools.

The Living Coast offers a variety of options for you and your classes to choose from when you come to visit the San Diego National Wildlife Refuge in the Sweetwater Marsh. JA BizTown combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to a simulated town. This popular program allows elementary school students to operate banks, manage restaurants, write checks, and vote for mayor. With active listening, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking, the program helps students connect the dots between what they learn in school and the real world.

Because of its extraordinary beauty, La Jolla Cove is one of the most photographed beaches in Southern California. La Jolla Cove is a small beach, tucked between sandstone cliffs within the San Diego La Jolla Underwater Park Ecological Reserve, which helps to ensure that marine life remains plentiful. The La Jolla Playhouse is where performance art and outreach combine to inspire community identity and imaginative thinking. From innovative youth programs to Tony award-winning musicals and plays,  La Jolla Playhouse artists collaborate to advance theatre and inspire the local community. The La Jolla Playhouse seeks to offer creative opportunities for contemporary artists by using theatre as a creative platform for transformative self-expression. 

The Legoland Sea Life Aquarium is home to more than 5,000 living creatures and incorporates Lego models into a child's voyage to the depths of the ocean featuring play zones, fun facts and quiz trails. Visit the new Sea at Night display featuring an amazing bioluminescence display.

The Lyceum Theatre’s beautifully renovated lobbies are home to the Lyceum Café, two gallery spaces featuring rotating exhibitions of local artists,  and the lower lobby Underground Stage, which hosts many free pre and post-show events. The Lyceum Stage theatre offers orchestra and mezzanine seating for 515 guests while keeping an intimate feeling for the audience no matter the seat.
