Kindergarden Students Enjoy First Field Trip to the Zoo
Updated: Jun 8, 2022
Olympic View Elementary School kindergartners were overjoyed to take their first field trip ever! After the school closures during the pandemic, students were excited to experience a field trip to the San Diego Zoo.
Teacher S. Smith had this to say about her students' experiences: "The kindergarten students were so excited to attend their first field trip! We went to the San Diego Zoo to observe animals that we have learned about in class.

We learned about 5 animal classifications: mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and insects. We were able to see animals from all the classifications that we learned about.
The new wildlife explorers base camp was amazing for kindergarten students to see animals close up. It was a beautiful day and everyone had a great learning experience. Thank you so much for your generous donation for our school bus transportation. It was so wonderful to take our kindergarten students on a field trip to the San Diego Zoo after such a hard pandemic year. All the students had an amazing educational experience. We truly appreciate your assistance!"
