Julia McMeans
Executive Director
Julia has nearly 30 years of experience in education. She is a former classroom teacher, teaching first, fourth, and fifth grades with the School District of Philadelphia. Julia is also the former Assistant Director of Education at the Penn Museum and the former Director of Education at the San Diego Model Railroad Museum. Julia holds an undergraduate degree in English from Temple University and an M.Ed. from Chestnut Hill College. She is credentialed in both Pennsylvania and California. Julia has worked extensively in K-8 curriculum development and has written for some of the nation’s leading educational publishers including Scholastic, Cavendish Square Publishing and Learning A-Z. Julia is passionate about ensuring that all K-12 students have access to the wealth of cultural resources existing in San Diego County and is excited to be onboard the ArtsBusXpress!
