Meet High Schooler, Angelina!

My name is Angelina and I am a senior in high school. In my sophomore year, with the help of ArtsBusXpress, I went on a field trip to the Walter Munk Map/Mosaic at La Jolla Shores. Our task was to film a documentary about the map and interview our information guides.

I had an interest in marine conservation and biology and had been looking for an internship within that field to expand my knowledge. I connected with the Walter Munk Foundation and have been an intern with them for the past two years. I work with social media and have learned so much about various marine animals.

Working with them has helped me branch out and has given me the confidence to explore other internships and volunteer opportunities.

I want to thank ArtsBusXpress for being so kind to provide my school with that field trip because it supported me in becoming a more experienced person and working within a team who valued the same things I value.

ArtsBusXpress is proud to count the Walter Munk Foundation as an esteemed venue partner!

The map depicts over 100 marine species indigenous to our coastal waters.
