ArtBusXpress Privacy Policy

ArtsBusXpress (ABX) respects the right to privacy of users of our website. We make every reasonable effort to insure user confidentiality. You can access our website pages and browse our site without disclosing your personal data. Only aggregated data, such as the number of hits per page, are collected. The collected data are only used for internal purposes, to assist us in analyzing the success of our outreach efforts and does not provide any personal identifying information. The website does not store information on the accessing computer by the use of cookies or other such related methods. Personal information gathered by our organization is kept in strict confidence. We also take measures to ensure the integrity of this information is maintained, to prevent it being lost or destroyed.

A third-party software company, Foundant Corporation, is the provider of our ABX Bus Grant Application. For those who logon and apply to our bus grant application system, seeking transportation funding, we collect personal data such as teacher name, school name, mobile phone and school email and use it for grant management purposes. This information is not shared with any organization for purposes other than managing the grant.  For purposes of providing information to teachers about arts and science venues and programs, our website does include links to those sites but does not share your personal data.  Our website does not enable our visitors to communicate with other visitors or to post information to be accessed by others.  

Data Collection

We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children. We take specific steps to protect the privacy of children by making reasonable efforts to ensure that a parent, or other guardian, has authorized the collection of any information about an individual child.

Our website may solicit data for specific purposes such as surveys or donor information. The data is collected only on a volunteer basis and requires confirmation from the user. We don’t collect information about our visitors from other sources, such as public records or bodies, or private organizations. We don’t collect or use personal data for other than the ally stated purpose. We also do not furnish information on our data collection practices to any outside agency. 

Confidentiality and Security

We give you the option of using a secure transmission method to send us the following types of personal data:

  • Primary personal data (such as name and contact details)

  • Identifiers (such as credit card details, website password)

  • We have implemented security policies, rules and technical measures to protect our personal database from:

    • Unauthorized access

    • Improper use or disclosure

    • Unauthorized modifications

    • Unlawful destruction or accidental loss

All of our board members, auxiliary members or volunteers who have access to, and are associated with the processing of personal data, are obliged to respect the confidentiality of our donors’ and visitors’ personal data. We require that they sign a non-disclosure policy supporting the protection of any and all proprietary and/or personal information that is gathered in the donor and grant award process.

​We ensure that your personal data will not be disclosed to State institutions and authorities except if required by law or other regulation.

Access to Personal Data

To submit an inquiry about any personal data we may have about you such as your name, school affiliation or phone number and address, please send a post-marked letter to 4010 Sorrento Valley Blvd. #400, San Diego, CA 92121.

We will respond to you in a few weeks with the specific personal information you request from our database, although we may require proof of your identity before releasing it, as a means of protecting the privacy of our data.

Data verification is free of charge and you may kindly request to have it corrected, updated or removed.  If it’s not possible to fulfill a request, we will provide an explanation and guidance on the best practice to revisit your request.

Donor Privacy  

ArtsBusXpress respects your privacy and we will do our best to protect your personal information. Also, we don’t rent, sell or trade our mailing lists. Your name, address and any other information you have provided to us will be used honorably to deliver services and to keep you informed about the activities of ArtsBusXpress including programs, services, special events, funding needs, opportunities to volunteer, or ways to donate.

When you make a donation to ArtsBusXpress, we want you to know that the information we collect about you will remain private. ArtsBusXpress is the sole owner of all information collected in the donation process and under no circumstances, will we sell, share or rent your information in ways other than what we have disclosed to you in this statement.
